Job Title
Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Contract | 12-Hour Day Shifts | 36 or 48 hour contract options available
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care/IMU setting, managing a mixed patient population including med-surg, telemetry, cardiac IMCU, neurological, and CVA patients
- Charge nurse responsibility is required; appropriate pay differential and training will be provided
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a teaching hospital environment, actively supporting students and new hires as part of a culture of mentorship
- Adhere to unit scheduling expectations, including working approximately 2–3 weekends per month based on unit needs
- Traveler must be available to work at least one major holiday (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and/or New Year’s Day)
Required Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license or valid Compact RN license required upon start
- Minimum 2 years of RN work experience required
- Complete work history with explanations for any gaps exceeding 90 days
- Skills checklist and copy of Nursys/license verification required at time of submission
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of candidate submission
- Facility may cancel up to 36 hours per assignment due to census
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior charge nurse experience preferred
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers will also be considered
