Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients in an intensive care setting according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, care issues, and identify expected outcomes
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinating care delivery and employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide care in a safe, healing, and patient-centered environment
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and provide health education to patients, families, and treatment team members
- Supervise and delegate appropriately to various levels of nursing staff, utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor (AHA or ARC) required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- Minimum of two years of recent experience in an ICU or related specialty
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior experience in an acute care facility setting
