Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30 or 19:00–07:30) | Every other weekend required | Some holidays required | No call | 4×12 scheduling may be considered upon request | Blocked weekend scheduling may be considered upon request
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
- Operate and monitor the NextStage CVVH machine as part of patient care protocols
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias and heart blocks
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver care to complex cardiovascular and post-surgical patients
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license required
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the CVICU specialty
- Demonstrated CVICU experience required
- Experience and working knowledge of the NextStage CVVH machine required
- Must pass a telemetry examination prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on adult exam; maximum of three attempts allowed)
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — locals not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery setting
- Experience in an Acuity Adaptable care area
