Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (HVTI)

Contract | Days/Nights Rotating | 3×12-Hour Shifts | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity stepdown/intermediate care setting focused on cardiovascular and thoracic patients
- Float as needed to additional units to care for the same patient population
- Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
- Administer and manage medications safely, with competency verified through assessment during orientation
- Participate in rotating holiday coverage, working at least every other holiday
- Complete annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules as required throughout the contract
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — permanent Ohio license or compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 12 months of permanent employment experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or equivalent specialty
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Active ACLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Active NIHSS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required; co-worker references are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience concentrated within a single facility or unit preferred
- Familiarity with cardiovascular and thoracic patient populations
- Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity or stepdown environment
