Travel RN – Labor & Delivery

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care throughout labor, delivery, and recovery in a 16-LDR, 3-OR, 3-Triage unit
- Perform triage assessments and antepartum care
- Circulate for C-section procedures
- Provide first-hour newborn care (excluding admission assessment, eyes and thighs) and breastfeeding assistance
- Monitor patients using Novii fetal monitors and document care via CPN and Meditech EMR systems
- Adhere to AWHONN patient ratios (1:1, 2:1, or up to 3:1 for low-acuity patients)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required (completed within the previous 2 years)
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Current BLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience at high-volume facilities with more than 3,000 births per year
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care
- Comfort working in a culturally diverse environment
