Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI exams and procedures as requested by medical staff, operating magnetic resonance scanners to obtain diagnostic images
- Assist radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures
- Modify technical settings and adjust scanning parameters to enhance image quality using knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy
- Complete documentation required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
- Retrieve prior images, written orders, and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of MRI exams
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on scanner equipment and archive imaging data
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required
- Certified MRI Technologist certification required
- American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Previous MRI experience required
- Must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Proficiency with computer applications including EMR systems and MS Office
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion
