Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Utica, NY | Acute Care
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 48 hours/week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 64-bed Emergency Department serving newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
- Manage high-acuity cases including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
- Provide care to all assigned patients, including SANE patients, in accordance with facility expectations
- Float to other units as required
- Charge nurse capability highly preferred
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State RN license (verified and in good standing)
- Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- TNCC certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Current AHA certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
- Locals are welcome to apply (candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible at a local rate)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge nurse experience in an emergency department setting
- Experience caring for SANE patients
- Familiarity with high-acuity specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
