Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Nights | 4×12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | 2 weekend shifts per contract
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting during night shift hours
- Document patient information and clinical data accurately using Epic EMR (experience required)
- Float to like units within scope of practice as needed based on facility needs, following brief unit orientation
- Complete onsite orientation modules as required prior to beginning patient care assignments
- Maintain compliance with all required certifications and licensure throughout the duration of the contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid Kansas RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- BLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- ACLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- PALS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- NIHSS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- TNCC certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
- All requested time off (RTO) must be listed at time of submittal
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience as a first-time traveler welcome; first-time travelers are accepted
- Familiarity with high-acuity emergency patient populations
- Ability to adapt quickly to varying unit environments when floating
