Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Varies)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Labor and Delivery unit
- Monitor and manage patients experiencing pregnancy-related conditions including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and preterm labor
- Assess and respond to changes in maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe delivery outcomes
- Must be available to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- AWHONN certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience managing high-risk obstetric conditions such as preeclampsia and preterm labor
- Familiarity with care protocols for pregnant patients with diabetes
- Strong clinical assessment skills in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery environment
