Travel RN – Pediatrics (Nights)

Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and record initial patient assessments, establishing priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs; reassess systematically to identify trends requiring intervention
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care
- Provide care for pediatric patients as well as adult female patients (18+), including post-partum mothers, post-operative patients, and general med-surg patients
- Perform Point of Care testing procedures and document timely, appropriate interventions
- Delegate and coordinate team assignments based on patient and unit needs; follow up on delegated tasks for quality and completeness
- Float to L&D and Med-Surg units as needed; participate in on-call rotation if census is low
Required Qualifications
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
- BLS Certification via AHA required
- ACLS Certification via AHA required
- PALS Certification via AHA required
- NRP Certification required
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification required
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Availability for weekend and on-call shifts as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in Pediatrics and/or Medical-Surgical nursing strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Epic EMR
- Experience caring for post-partum and post-operative patient populations
