Key Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient conditions in accordance with physician orders and current standards of practice
- Provide appropriate therapeutic interventions aligned with the established plan of care
- Educate and train patients and their caregivers throughout the care process
- Complete written documentation including chart notes, evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries
- Participate in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary team meetings related to patient care
- Supervise and train COTAs, aides, and students as assigned; support orientation of new employees
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (degree will be verified)
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
