Job Title
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Contract | Mid Shift | Expected schedule includes every other weekend and some holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Perform majority of patient care functions in an acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision
- Greet patients, direct to exam rooms, prepare for exam, and provide routine assistance during exams including setting up trays for injections and recording vital signs
- Place IVs and perform phlebotomy as required
- Administer injections and assist with procedures such as paps and other clinical tasks
- Implement nursing care activities under the direction of the primary or associate nurse as outlined in the nursing care plan; observe and report patient responses to treatments
- Assist with general office duties including appointment scheduling, chart preparation, obtaining insurance authorizations, and coordinating referrals with primary care physicians
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State LPN license
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
- Emergency Department (ED) experience required
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain/renew certification)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, family members, and members of the healthcare team
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an inpatient setting
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
