Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to laboring patients and newborns in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient outcomes
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and other treatments per physician orders and established protocols
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic health record
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas or compact license eligibility
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Familiarity with fetal monitoring and interpretation
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
