Travel Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg unit serving adult and geriatric populations
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, delivering safe and effective nursing interventions
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes using Meditech EHR
- Float to other units as required to support staffing needs
- Participate in rotating weekend coverage as part of the standard schedule
- Collaborate as a team player and take ownership of assigned patient responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Alabama or compact eligibility
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of 5 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
- Demonstrated med/surg clinical skills and competency
- Ability to float to other units as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech electronic health records system
- Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care setting
- Familiarity with adult and geriatric patient populations
