Key Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Provide direct patient care to support functional independence in daily living activities
- Document patient progress, treatment sessions, and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs as directed by the supervising OT
Required Qualifications
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of California
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification
- Ability to work day shift hours
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior clinical experience as a COTA in a relevant care setting
- Experience working within an interdisciplinary team environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
