Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required | Holidays required on a rotating basis | 2–3 on-call shifts per month expected
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery / LDR setting during 12-hour night shifts
- Perform fetal monitoring and respond appropriately to maternal and fetal status changes
- Care for pediatric patients as part of the role’s scope
- Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed to support overflow patient census
- Participate in on-call rotation, with the expectation of approximately 2–3 on-call shifts per month
- Adhere to facility policies including nicotine-free workplace requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required — candidates must be fully committed to obtaining PALS prior to start if not already held
- Fetal monitoring class (intermediate or advanced) completed within the past 24 months required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (LDR) experience
- Willingness to float to Medical-Surgical and care for pediatric patients
- New graduates not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of LDR experience, ideally in a rural hospital setting
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records
