Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop personalized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic activities aimed at improving, recovering, or maintaining skills needed for daily living and working
- Recommend and instruct patients on the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment
- Adapt patient environments to support greater independence and well-being
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families throughout the rehabilitation process
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience required
- Active Texas OT license or compact state license required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a long term care or skilled nursing facility setting
- Familiarity with developing goal-oriented, individualized care plans
