Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, recording and communicating patient condition as appropriate
- Serve as a primary coordinator across all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Apply critical thinking skills and decisive judgment while working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, stressful environment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact eligibility
- Telemetry experience required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a stressful clinical environment
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Med Surg Telemetry setting
- Familiarity with discharge planning coordination and multi-disciplinary care teams
- Experience monitoring and interpreting telemetry readings
