Level III NICU / PICU Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift

Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services within a Level III NICU and PICU setting during night shift hours
- Assess, treat, and monitor neonatal and pediatric patients requiring respiratory support
- Manage and operate mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment appropriate for neonatal and pediatric populations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- Active Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Illinois
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Experience working in a Level III NICU and/or PICU environment
- Proficiency with neonatal and pediatric mechanical ventilation
- Current BLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NPS (Neonatal Pediatric Specialist) credential preferred
- Experience with high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) and inhaled nitric oxide therapy
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills in fast-paced intensive care environments
