Job Title
Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Nights)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process — including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned patients on a basic Medical/Surgical unit
- Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
- Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources
- Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations; candidates must be willing to float
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Willingness to float as needed
- Availability to work every other weekend
- No on-call requirement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Familiarity with a 5:1 or 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio environment
