Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care, including initial and ongoing assessments based on patient needs, medical diagnosis, and functional health framework
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage overall patient care
- Document care in accordance with standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities
- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support adoption of innovations in care delivery
- Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, with specialization in leukemia and lymphoma in an inpatient setting
- Active NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Proficiency in IV skills, telemetry, and chemotherapy administration
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Telemetry certification
- Chemotherapy certification through the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)
- Demonstrated empathy and compassion in patient care settings
