Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care across a Medical Surgical unit
- Plan, implement, and document individualized nursing care based on patient needs, acuity, and clinical priorities
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to identify patient needs and determine priorities for care
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage overall patient care
- Advocate for and support evidence-based practice standards and innovations in care delivery
- Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience required
- Active NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIHSS certification required
- CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours certification required
- Proficiency in general Medical Surgical nursing skills including Vent/Trach Care, Telemetry, Perinatal, and Dialysis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN degree preferred
- Telemetry certification preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR
