Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend (Saturday & Sunday) | No On-Call
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed unit serving adult through geriatric populations, including orthopedic and medical surgical patients
- Care for high-volume patient populations including total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties, as well as inpatient and 24-hour observation medical patients
- Utilize telemetry monitoring capabilities available on the unit as part of patient care
- Collaborate with on-unit physical therapy resources to support patient rehabilitation without requiring unit transfers
- Float to other campus locations as needed
- Serve as Charge RN as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- Charge RN experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
- No open background cases permitted
- Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
- Current driver’s license required to verify address
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Requested time off must be submitted with application; no post-submission RTO will be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with orthopedic patient populations, including total joint replacements and fracture care
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a medical surgical setting
- Experience managing inpatient and observation-status patients
