Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation to identify and prioritize patient needs
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments informed by patient problems, physician medical diagnosis, and functional health framework
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions including inpatient unit nursing skills such as Foley catheter insertion and IV management
- Document nursing care based on standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities
- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support adoption of innovations in care delivery
- Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry experience required
- ASN or graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
- Active NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- NIHSS certification required
- Telemetry Certification or successful completion of a Telemetry Competency Exam required
- CEU Contact Stroke (4 Hours) required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN preferred
- Approximately 2 years of preferred Telemetry experience
