Job Title
Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU/CCU

Contract | Nights | 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a combined ICU/CCU setting with a 12-bed ICU and 12-bed CCU, maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
- Manage and monitor patients on vasoactive and sedation drips including cardizem, propofol, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutamine, fentanyl, and midazolam
- Independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips using GE telemetry equipment
- Manage ventilated patients and care for complex diagnoses including sepsis, CHF, COPD, post-cath, lobectomies, thrombectomies, and spinal cases
- Float between ICU, CCU, and telemetry (1:4 ratio) as needed; opportunity to float to the ER with provided orientation
- Participate in every-other-weekend requirements and rotate holidays in alignment with permanent staff scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in California
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Advanced EKG/Dysrhythmia course completion required
- Experience with Meditech EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an ICU or CCU setting with ventilator management
- Familiarity with vasoactive drip titration and hemodynamic monitoring
- Experience with telemetry or emergency department nursing
- Ability to function independently in a setting staffed by independent physicians (no in-house hospitalist or intensivist)
