Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (CPU)

Contract | 13-Week Assignment (Extension Possible) | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Holiday Requirement
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/PCU (CPU) setting with intermediate to advanced monitoring needs
- Perform and interpret telemetry monitoring for assigned patients
- Initiate and manage IV access (IV Start) as required by patient care plans
- Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and interventions
- Adhere to unit dress code — Royal Blue scrubs required (not provided by facility)
- Maintain minimal time-off requests, particularly around holidays, in alignment with unit staffing expectations
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted RN license (must be obtained prior to start; candidates with a pending license must provide proof that the process is underway)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 3+ years of recent Stepdown/PCU (CPU) experience
- Proficiency in intermediate to advanced patient monitoring and IV starts
- Candidates residing within 31–50 miles of the facility are welcome and will be considered at the local rate; candidates residing fewer than 30 miles from the facility are not eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Prior experience with Cerner EMR
- Demonstrated flexibility with scheduling, including holiday and weekend availability
