Job Title
Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift
Location
Newport, VT | Critical Access Hospital
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | 3 days per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services during night shift hours in a critical access hospital setting
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions and disorders
- Operate and manage respiratory equipment including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately and in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- Active Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility to practice in the state of Vermont
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
- Experience providing respiratory therapy in a clinical or hospital environment
- Current BLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a critical access or rural hospital setting
- Experience with mechanical ventilation and advanced airway management
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours
