Travel Paramedic

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 8-Week Assignment | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to 911 calls and provide prehospital emergency medical care across all patient populations (pediatric, adult, and geriatric)
- Operate as part of a team to ensure continuous 24/7 ambulance coverage
- Perform assessments, interventions, and treatments in accordance with paramedic scope of practice
- Assist in the Emergency Department as requested
- Maintain accurate patient care documentation using the facility’s EHR system
- Adhere to all facility dress code and departmental policies
Required Qualifications
- Iowa or National Paramedic Certification required
- ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required
- Completion of an accredited paramedic program
- Minimum 2+ years of paramedic experience
- Mandatory Reporter Certification (Child and Adult) required prior to start
- Must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prehospital emergency services experience strongly preferred
- Experience working in a team-oriented, high-acuity environment
- Familiarity with Trauma Level 4 facility operations
