Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Onsite | Expected 32 hours/week | Every other weekend required | No call requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistant services to an adult inpatient population on a medical-surgical floor within a Level 2 Trauma facility
- Treat patients presenting with neurological, orthopedic, and general medical diagnoses
- Document patient care using Meditech EHR (transitioning to EPIC in November 2026)
- Collaborate with the therapy team and supervising therapist to implement individualized treatment plans
- Opportunity to float to the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) if interested and qualified — not required
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois PTA license required
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Ability to work a day shift schedule including every other weekend
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Adult inpatient or Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) experience
- ICU experience is a plus, though not required
- Familiarity with neuro, orthopedic, and general medical patient populations
