Job Title
Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Renal)

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to an adult and geriatric patient population on a Renal Medical-Surgical unit with a 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform vital sign checks and blood glucose checks independently as part of standard patient care duties
- Accurately document patient information and clinical communications using Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR
- Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
- Adhere to weekend rotation expectations (every other weekend) and holiday work requirements per assignment guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers considered — charge experience preferred
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests may be made post-offer or during the assignment, including orientation week — maximum 7 days RTO per contract
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior charge nurse experience on a Medical-Surgical or Renal unit
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and SBAR communication framework
- Experience working with high-census environments (unit averages 48 patients across 49 rooms)
