Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
- Float as needed within the hospital, including to the Cardiac ICU / CVPICU, based on census needs; travelers are among the first to float when census drops and are notified at the start of their shift
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation; Epic charting experience preferred
- Work a minimum of two holidays during the contract period
- Every other weekend (EOW) is required; blocked scheduling may be accommodated for weekend-only schedules (Friday–Sunday)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience required
- Active RN license required at time of submission — single-state Ohio license or valid compact/multi-state license accepted
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Must be fully vaccinated — no exceptions
- No previous license disciplinary history
- Supervisor reference within the past 2 years required
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility are ineligible to apply for a period of 1 year from their termination date
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; candidates within 50 miles will be considered local and local rates will apply
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Exposure to Cardiac ICU (CICU/CVPICU) environment
- Experience with Epic electronic health records
- Comfort with floating across units within a large pediatric hospital system
