Key Responsibilities
- Provide first assist services across a range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, and gynecology
- Support Labor & Delivery (L&D) surgical cases as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation based on department needs, with expected weekday call (1800–0630) approximately 1–2 times per week and weekend call approximately every 4th weekend
- Float within skill set to other on-site departments or to facilities within the region as needed
- Utilize EPIC electronic health record system throughout clinical duties
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) or equivalent recognized certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability and willingness to float to sites within approximately 40 miles if needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel assignment experience strongly preferred
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records
- Background in Labor & Delivery (L&D) surgical support
- Broad surgical experience spanning orthopedics, gynecology, and general surgery
