Travel Registered Nurse – Medical ICU (Nights)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Projected Start: November 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Medical ICU setting with patient ratios of 2:1, 3:1, or 1:1 depending on acuity
- Perform and assist with unit procedures including EVDs, SLED, central lines, para/thoracentesis, lumbar drains, and TTM
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Tablo, Belmont, Baxter Pumps, Codman EVDs, Hemosphere, and Hillrom Call System
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including directors, managers, clinical coordinators, and paramedics
- Float throughout the facility as needed and work every other weekend; no on-call requirement
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Virginia or compact state eligibility
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- TNCC certification
- Team-oriented personality with strong collaborative work style
