Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Days | 4×12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a combined Adult/Pediatric, Non-Trauma Emergency Department with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform triage, phlebotomy, IV starts, and central line care and management
- Administer blood products, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation
- Manage ventilated patients and provide CPAP/BiPAP support, including interpretation of ABGs
- Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
- Work weekends (at least 8 per contract) and holidays as required
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
- Third-party education verification required; no open background check cases permitted
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; current driver’s license required to verify address
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department setting
- Comfort with high-acuity patients including ventilator management and vasopressor administration
