Albuquerque, NM | Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH)
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Monday–Friday with one weekend day per month | Expected shift approximately 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (hours may vary)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct physical therapy services to patients in a long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) setting
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans to address functional deficits and promote recovery
- Implement and progress therapeutic interventions in alignment with patient goals and physician orders
- Document patient progress and treatment notes accurately using the facility’s EMR system (ProTouch)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license valid in the state of New Mexico
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience
- Ability to work a schedule of Monday–Friday with one weekend day per month
- Proficiency or ability to learn facility EMR systems; experience with ProTouch a plus
- Must comply with facility dress code: Navy Blue Scrubs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) or similar complex care environment
- Familiarity with ProTouch EMR documentation system
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
