Registered Nurse – PACU

Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) nursing care, including pre-op and post-op patient management
- Float among up to five designated hospital locations based on staffing needs, within your skill set
- Monitor and assess patients for dysrhythmias and other post-operative complications
- Deliver care to pediatric patients as needed within the PACU setting
- Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic health records system
- Pass the required Dysrhythmia exam during orientation (two attempts allowed; must be completed on a PC within 72 hours of signing)
Required Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN license or Compact license (must be active and verified via Nursys within 2 weeks of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of PACU specialty experience, with experience within the last 12 months
- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required at time of submission (BLS must not expire within 30 days of assignment start; pending certifications not accepted)
- Pre-op and PACU experience required
- Pediatric (Peds) experience required
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Must be willing and able to float among five designated hospital locations based on staffing needs
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the primary facility are subject to the local pay rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a multi-facility or health system environment
- Familiarity with high-acuity post-operative patient populations
