Job Title
Respiratory Therapist – NICU/PICU (Travel Contract)

Contract | Travel | Night Shift | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services across a Level 4 NICU and PICU setting, managing patient ratios of approximately 30–40 units of therapy per shift
- Operate and monitor advanced equipment including Servo U ventilator with NAVA, Avea Ventilator, V60 noninvasive, Vapotherm, Blender HFNC, Vest CPT, Redbox IPV, MetaNeb, Cough Assist, and Percussor CPT
- Perform procedures including nebulizer therapy, airway clearance, BiPAP, mechanical ventilation, HFNC, bronch assist, and ABGs
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate within a team of 6–12 staff per shift, supporting Pedi ED, PICU, PIMC, Pedi Surgery, Pedi Onc/BMT, and NICU units
- Complete at least 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; voluntary floating to adult units may be available
Required Qualifications
- CRT or RRT credential required
- Active Texas RCP license required
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of PICU or Level 3/Level 4 NICU experience required; candidates without this experience will not be considered
- Minimum 2 years of overall respiratory therapy experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with NAVA ventilation and advanced neonatal/pediatric respiratory support modalities
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
- Team-oriented, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity pediatric environment
