Registered Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory Therapy

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | 12-Hour Night Shifts (5:45 PM – 6:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend | 2 Winter Holidays Required | On-Call: 1 shift every two weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct respiratory therapy care to patients in an acute care setting under the scope of a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions across assigned units
- Operate and manage respiratory equipment and ventilators in accordance with facility protocols
- Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled (approximately 1 shift every two weeks)
- Document patient care accurately using the facility’s electronic medical record system
- Eligible candidates with PEDS/NICU experience and NRP certification may be assigned to those patient populations
Required Qualifications
- RRT or CRT certification required
- Active Missouri Respiratory Therapy license — must be in hand prior to start
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist
- New graduates will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of CRT or RRT experience
- PEDS and/or NICU experience (candidates with this background and active NRP certification may be eligible for those patient assignments)
- Familiarity with Cerner or similar EMR platforms (facility uses Altera Sunrise, noted to be very similar to Cerner)
