Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Key Responsibilities
- Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments incorporating culture, age, developmental level, risk factors, and presenting complaint in accordance with RN scope of practice
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team, adjusting interventions based on ongoing assessment and response to therapies
- Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition; initiate appropriate actions to address patient stress, discomfort, and safety concerns
- Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of care provided by other team members
- Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge processes including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
- Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team
- Proficiency with or ability to be trained on relevant computer systems and applications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an ICU or related acute care setting
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
