Job Title
Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Manage patients with various respiratory diseases, renal disease, GI illnesses, and telemetry needs
- Perform and oversee procedures including CVC management, indwelling catheters, and heparin drips
- Utilize Meditech for clinical documentation and maintain communication boards to support patient experience standards
- Participate in weekend shift rotation (4 shifts per 28-day schedule) and holiday rotation
- Float to other units in rotation as needed per facility policy
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (must be valid for the state of Tennessee or compact eligibility)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Proficiency with standard unit equipment including IV pumps, SCDs, and walkers
- Strong teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with telemetry monitoring in a Med Surg setting
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records system
- Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care environment
