Job Title
Travel RN – Medical/Surgical

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Manage patients with a variety of conditions including respiratory diseases, renal disease, GI illnesses, and telemetry needs
- Perform and monitor procedures including CVC management, indwelling catheters, and heparin drips
- Utilize Meditech for clinical documentation and maintain communication boards to support patient experience standards
- Participate in weekend shift rotation (4 shifts per 28-day schedule) and holiday rotation
- Float within the facility rotation as needed and collaborate with Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretaries, PCTs, and Case Management
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Proficiency with standard unit equipment including IV pumps, SCDs, and walkers
- Strong teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills
- Navy blue scrubs required as dress code
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with telemetry monitoring in a Med/Surg setting
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records system
- Experience managing patients with complex respiratory, renal, or GI conditions
