Job Title
Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical-Surgical unit serving patients of all ages
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, delivering safe and effective nursing care
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the Meditech EHR system
- Participate in weekend rotations and call requirements as needed
- Float to other units as needed to support staffing demands
- Adhere to facility dress code and professional conduct standards at all times
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure valid for practice in Virginia
- BLS certification required prior to start
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start
- HWC certification required prior to start (available on-site)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Familiarity with Meditech EHR
- Experience working in an academic community hospital setting
