Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room

Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in a high-volume OR setting across a broad range of surgical specialties including General, Gyn, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedics (including total joints), Neuro/Head and Spine, and Trauma
- Precept less experienced staff — preceptorship ability must be documented and noted in candidate profile
- Participate in on-call rotation as required; candidates unwilling to take call will not be considered
- Expected to work select holiday blocks as scheduled, which may include Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s holiday periods and associated weekends
- Adhere to facility dress code; facility-provided scrubs are supplied
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of current CST experience — non-negotiable
- NBSTSA certification required (NCCT certification is not accepted)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Demonstrated proficiency in General, Gyn, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedic (including total joints), Neuro/Head and Spine, and Trauma procedures
- Must be able to precept — proficiency must be documented in profile
- Two recent supervisory signed references required (from within the past two years of employment) — non-negotiable; references will be verified
- Candidate must have personal reliable transportation — firm requirement
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with C-sections, ENT, Plastics, and/or DaVinci Robotic procedures
- Familiarity with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system
