Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs, modifying plans based on continuous evaluation.
- Implement nursing interventions, patient care procedures, and unit-specific protocols in alignment with the scope of service.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care provided to support integration of information across the healthcare team.
- Monitor EMU patients around the clock for seizure activity.
- Collaborate with critical care teams and hospitalists in the care of Advanced Care patients.
- Promote patient and employee safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting safety hazards and incidents.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher.
- Active Illinois RN License in good standing.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience working in an advanced or critical care setting.
