Intensive Care Registered Nurse (ICU RN)

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Expected 36–48 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients in an intensive care setting according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, care issues, and develop individualized care plans
- Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote patient health and a safe environment
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare providers to deliver care in a safe, healing, and patient-centered environment
- Supervise and delegate appropriately to various levels of nursing staff while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment
- Participate in discharge planning and provide health education to patients, families, and the treatment team to ensure continuity of care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required
- Minimum of two years of recent ICU or acute care experience required
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior experience in a high-acuity acute care facility environment
- Strong critical thinking, supervisory discretion, and independent clinical judgment
