Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Contract (13- or 18-week) | Nights, 4×12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | Overtime may be available after 48 hours for those on a 48-hour contract
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown setting with targeted patient ratios of 1:4 (ratios may reach 1:5–6 based on unit needs)
- Monitor and manage patients requiring stable chronic ventilator support
- Perform cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation in accordance with unit protocols
- Document all patient care activities using Epic EMR
- Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliated campuses as assigned, including to units within the same specialty cluster, based on census and skill set
- Maintain availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (any active state license or compact license accepted; candidates with past license disciplinary action will not be considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience
- Experience with stable chronic ventilator patients required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass an online EKG/Dysrhythmia competency assessment within 72 hours of contract signing
- Must be available to work a minimum of every other holiday
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- IV Start certification preferred
- Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 facility preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
