Registered Nurse – Rehabilitation (Travel Contract)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | Weekend hours required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury in a 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation setting
- Deliver individualized, intensive rehabilitation-focused nursing care tailored to each patient’s recovery goals
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, ensuring safe and effective care across assigned caseload
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and progress accurately using Epic EHR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams to support comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Indiana (or compact eligibility)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Experience in a rehabilitation or acute care nursing setting
- Proficiency with Epic EHR
- Availability for day shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) including weekend hours
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) setting
- Familiarity with rehabilitation diagnoses including stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic conditions
- Experience working with adult patient populations in a high-acuity rehabilitation environment
