Key Responsibilities
- Deliver quality patient care through the administration of radiation therapy treatments
- Perform treatment simulations and fabricate all necessary shielding blocks
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) throughout the course of treatment
- Prepare equipment for patient treatments, including performing quality control and assurance tests
- Ensure proper infection control techniques and adhere to optimal radiation safety and protection practices
- Maintain professional working relationships with medical staff and support interdisciplinary cooperation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience required
- ARRT (T) certification required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- 1 year of travel experience required, OR post-graduation work experience with Varian and ARIA
- Must adhere to facility attendance policy: three instances of unexcused absence or tardiness of more than 20 minutes may result in contract termination
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with TrueBeam treatment platform
- Experience with ARIA oncology information system
- Experience with Trilogy linear accelerator
