Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekend-Only Position — Every Saturday & Sunday plus 1 weekday night shift | 13-Week Assignment with Potential Extension
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Level IV NICU setting during overnight shifts
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to neonatal patients, adhering to unit protocols and standards
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR
- Provide holiday coverage as required by the facility
- Float to other departments within the facility and to sister campuses within a 12-mile radius as needed
- Adhere to a nicotine-free campus policy; facility tests for cotinine/nicotine
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience, with Level IV NICU experience required
- BLS certification required
- PALS certification required (AHA-issued only)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Recent travel nursing experience required
- Must be available to work every weekend (Saturday & Sunday) — this is a strict requirement
- Must submit any requested time off (RTO) dates at time of submission; minimal to no RTO expected
- Must be able to complete all compliance documentation no later than 7 business days prior to start date — no exceptions
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN degree preferred, though not required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
- Experience floating across multiple departments or campus locations
