Job Title

Lab Director – Clinical Laboratory

Location

Liberal, KS | Skilled Nursing Facility / Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Full-Time | Direct Hire | Onsite | Days (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) | On-call required, shared with laboratory staff

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all clinical laboratory operations including chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank, molecular, and microbiology testing
• Manage and supervise laboratory staff across shifts, including evening and night shift technicians and phlebotomists
• Coordinate outpatient laboratory services Monday through Friday and support testing for partnered clinics in surrounding areas
• Participate in shared on-call rotation and provide callback coverage as needed to support staffing needs
• Maintain CAP Survey compliance and ensure adherence to all regulatory and accreditation standards
• Work across all areas of the hospital laboratory as operational needs require

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Medical Technology Program or equivalent
• ASCP Certification required
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university in Chemical, Physical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science, and/or Medical Technology
• Minimum of five (5) years of medical laboratory experience
• At least two (2) years of hospital supervisory experience
• CAP Survey experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a multi-service hospital laboratory environment
• Familiarity with laboratory operations supporting both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Experience managing or coordinating testing services for external or partnered clinic locations
